First, The Pledge of Allegiance!
Morning Work!
Writing ABC's in print form and cursive in their
hand sewn copy books.
Just Fun!
Even in the old school days students
had to have something to read when they finished their work!
(Though Sunday comics were probably not a choice like
they are in our old school.)
Busted! Reading a graphic novel? :-)
Just like in the old school days. Check out the student
leaning over his desk to check out what the student
in front of him is reading!!! Tsk! Tsk!
A rousing game of "Button, Button, Who's got the Button?"
Students each memorized a short poem and
later recited it for the class.
Definitely helps to look up and to the left to
remember... Even in the old school days!
...and a curtsy finish!
Shhh!
Being polite. "I shall remove my hat."
Field Games with all fourth graders!
Students were divided into to four teams. Teams
rotated through 4 different stations where they took
part in the three-legged race, the potato on a spoon relay,
Ethan Allen, Arnold (Similar to Duck, Duck, Goose), and
the Potato Sack relay. (I was in charge of the three-legged race
and just couldn't get pics of everyone because they were paired with students
from other classes - no photo permission, but suffice it to say there
was a lot of laughter at each game.)
Lunch! At Last!
Just a sampling of "who brought what, in what!"
